Wrought Iron Coffee Table Works Well with Wrestling Boys
Whenever our friends see our wrought iron coffee table, they are always surprised. At first, it didn't really fit
with anything else in the room. We are not really metal coffee table people. Instead, we like a very organic, minimalist sort of look.
Unfortunately, children often necessitate compromises in design. No matter what I do, I can't keep the boys from wrestling in the living room. And the wrought iron coffee table is virtually indestructible.
It is not one of those glass and metal coffee tables. This one is iron through and through. The whole room has a different look, in fact, since the boys started to be the old enough to cause damage. We ended up exchanging quite a bit of our furniture to accomodate our playful boys.
Actually, it was comparatively easy to give up our old furniture. For me, the furniture doesn't matter that much as long as it all matches. The wrought iron coffee table looks very good with the dark leather arm chairs in the room, so everything seems to fit together well.
When I first got that wrought iron coffee table, it was really hard to conceptualize how it would fit into the house. It had such a strange look to it – like something out of another age – that I was pretty sure that it would throw everything else off as well. Now, though, I don't know why I was worried. The iron coffee table looks as natural as the glass one did.
